Befriending your emotions, and harnessing them in your life

To live more authentically, we need to be consciously aware of our own thoughts, emotions and bodies. Emotions carry important information that help to inform our actions. They are a vital compass for our lives.

However many of us were not supported to feel and contain our emotions, so they can be overwhelming, repressed, or acted out in painful and unhealthy ways.

This resource includes suggested practices and resources, to suport your journey in working more skillfully with your emotions.

What core needs are driving you and shaping your life?

Safety, security, pleasure, creativity, sexuality, recognition, power, identitiy, significance, love, self-expression, knowledge, wisdom, connection and belonging to something bigger than ourselves…

These core motivations drive all that you do / think / say – often unconsciously.

This list is a starting point to help you identify which of these are most important to you, so you can be fulfilled and expressed in different areas of your life, in a way that reflects who you really are.
